The purpose of this Center for Urban Agrarian Culture is to create a space that can facilitate agriculture in a dense urban setting in the Bronx, New York.  The industrial farming practices in the USA have caused many problems for the environment and the people who consume the food.  It has also resulted in a disconnect between the food and its source, and our society's connection to the land on which we dwell.

This project explores our relationship to the land, the water, and the food we grown and eat.

This is a collaborative project, where each person designed a different aspect of the program for the Center.  The portion shown here are two connected buildings.  One is a community kitchen designed by a colleague, and the other is a community dining and event space designed by myself.
